Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the death of a 57-year-old resident this morning [Tuesday, May 19] as a result of complications from the COVID-19 novel coronavirus.

In a statement issued online, the MoH confirmed that this marks the 26th fatality in the Sultanate due to coronavirus.
The Ministry has offered its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased.
