Oman’s Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has announced that flights will recommence from Muscat Governorate to airports located at oil field sites throughout the country.
In a statement issued online, PACA said the move comes upon the discretion of Oman’s Supreme Committee for COVID-19, stating: “We are implementing the Supreme Committee’s decision to resume flights between Muscat Governorate and airports of oil fields in Oman, and approved health and safety measures for flights operating to these airports is currently being evaluated by the authority.”
In support of the decision, Oman Airports Tweeted : “Our Oilfields Airports team of our regional airports system is on standby for the decision to resume flights between Muscat Governorate and oil fields, and we welcome the good news.”
