Oman’s Minister of Health elected to WHO Executive Board

Oman’s Minister of Health, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saeedi has been elected as First Deputy Member of the WHO Executive Board.

In a statement issued online by the Ministry of Health (MoH), Dr. Al Saeedi’s appointment came during the 147th session of the WHO Executive Board meeting, with His Excellency being appointed in his role for a period of three years.

The Board is comprised of 34 members qualified in the field of health, who have each been appointed by a member state elected for representation by the World Health Assembly.
