Oman’s Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) have confirmed the deaths of two expatriate workers who perished after an excavation area collapsed at a work-site in Barka.
In a statement issued online, PACDA authorities said that the remains of the two deceased, who were of Asian nationalities, were recovered after a ten-hour search effort amid the rubble by PACDA rescue teams.
PACDA has called upon “companies operating in such projects to adhere to safety rules to protect their workers from the risk of accidents.”
