Oman: Three people arrested in Dhofar for poaching gazelles

Wildlife authorities at the General Directorate of Environment and Climate Affairs in Dhofar have arrested three people on charges of gazelle poaching, the Ministry has announced.

In a statement issued online, the Ministry, with the cooperation of the Royal Oman Police, have detained three Omani citizens for hunting Arabian gazelle in the Sadah region of the governorate, with all seizures confiscated and legal action taken against the alleged accused.

The Ministry has called upon the public to report any violations against protected or endangered wildlife by calling (+968) 8007-1999.
