As Oman News Agency (ONA) reports, SQU has also ranked eighth among Arab post-secondary institutions in the QS World University rankings.

In a statement issued online, ONA confirms that the accomplishment by SQU aligns with the objectives of the Oman Vision 2040 which seeks to have one Omani post-secondary institution named among the world’s top 300 universities by 2030, and a goal of four Omani universities ranked by 2040.

As per ONA, SQU’s achievement is a result of the university’s efforts to maintain quality performance indicators and by building its academic reputation through a focus on SQU researchers that strengthens them to take part in scientific research platforms where their works can be published globally.
