Oman’s Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) has said that students wishing to resume their studies abroad must submit their applications electronically to the Ministry.
In a statement issued online on Saturday [June 13] the MoHE said that it is cognizant of the need for students who came back to the Sultanate from their scholarships abroad amid the COVID-19 pandemic, to return to their studies.
All students wishing to partake in the resumption of studies abroad must submit their applications online through the MoHE’s web portal. As per the Ministry, this is so that they can filter the requests and seek necessary approvals from the relevant authorities.
In its statement, the MoHE also noted that the Ministry will not bear responsibility in the event that students do not register in advance ahead of the deadline for travel.
The MoHE has also pointed out that for those students still abroad who have now completed their studies and wish to return to Oman to be with their families during summer holidays, Oman Air and SalamAir have been announcing periodically special flights to Europe and other destinations, and for students to keep an eye on updates for such trips.
In order to avail a booking on these repatriation flights, students must inform the General Consul in Melbourne and its cultural attachés of their travel dates after their reservation is confirmed.
