Oman: PACDA reports death of 5-year-old child in Sohar

Oman’s Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) has confirmed the accidental death of a five-year-old girl in an incident that took place in North Al Batinah Governorate on Monday [July 6].

In a statement issued online, PACDA authorities said that: “The water rescue team at the Civil Defence and Ambulance Administration in North Al Batinah has carried out the retrieval of a five-year-old girl who had fallen into a sewage pit at a house in Al-Turif in the Wilayat of Sohar.”

In its statement, PACDA further said that, upon being found by the rescue team, the child had already succumbed to her injuries.
