In a statement issued online, the MoAF confirmed that: “The Ministry, in coordination with the Ministry of Manpower, has confirmed the decision which prohibits non-Omani drivers from transporting agricultural products such as vegetables, fruits, dates, animal feed, palm leaves and products, and livestock inside the Sultanate.”
The MoAF further confirmed that the decision was implemented in line with Ministerial Resolution (218/2018) issued by the Ministry, which addresses the regulation of transport of agricultural products within the country.
In its statement, the MoAF also said that, “coordination has been made with the Royal Oman Police to not allow any non-Omani driver to transport agricultural products or livestock of various tonnage.”
In the public interest, the Ministry has called upon all institutions, business owners, and individuals to adhere to the new directive.
