Oman: 821 COVID-19 violations recorded against commercial establishments since mid-March

Oman’s Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources (MRMWR) has recorded approximately 821 violations of Supreme Committee COVID-19 health and safety regulations among businesses in governorates outside of the capital.

In a statement issued online today [Monday, May 18], the MRMWR said that the numbers of violations were recorded during the period of March 15 to May 15, 2020, with the following breakdown:

South Al Batinah — 241
North Al Batinah — 153
Al Dhakiliyah — 123
Buraimi — 85
Al Dhahirah — 69
South Al Sharqiyah — 56
North Al Sharqiyah — 37
Dhofar — 33
Al Wusta — 20
Musandam — 4
