In a statement issued online today, the meeting, which was chaired by His Excellency Hamad bin Khamis Al Amri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Manpower for Labour Affairs, discussed outcomes from their inspection teams across various governorates in dealing with complaints arising around the termination of the Omani employees.

In its statement, the MoM confirmed that 12 private sector companies committed to revoking their decision to let go of their Omani staff, while another three companies refused to cooperate with the committee’s directives.

The MoM confirmed that legal action will be taken by the committee against the three companies found to be in violation of the Supreme Committee’s decisions on the retainment of national manpower.
