Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the opening of a fourth COVID-19 testing centre for expatriate residents in the Wilayat of Seeb located in North Al Hail.
As Merge 104.8’s sister station Al Wisal reports, in a statement issued by the Ministry, the MoH has confirmed that the centre will assess and test expat patients who have COVID-19 symptoms, take samples from them, and record their personal information — including their place of work and residence, who they live with, and who has been in close contact with them.
All samples will then be sent to the central laboratory for testing, and health officials will follow up with patients to notify them of the results of their tests. If found positive for COVID-19, authorities will liaise with the patient on the appropriate next steps for quarantine and other protocol measures.
