COVID-19: Cases in Seeb surpass Muttrah at 5,677, total in Muscat reaches 17,405

Oman has recorded its highest daily number of new COVID-19 cases yet today [Sunday, June 14], with 1,404 newly-registered cases bringing the national total to 23,481. Of these, Muscat Governorate recorded 1,093 new cases today, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in the capital to 17,405.

Among the Wilayats, Seeb saw the highest number of new cases at 407 for a total of 5,677, surpassing Muttrah which has a total of 5,666, for the highest number of cases in the capital.

The Wilayat of Bausher saw a jump of 318 new cases today, followed by the Wilayat of Muttrah with 244 new cases.

Authorities at the Ministry of Health (MoH) have confirmed that COVID-19 recoveries in the Sultanate have risen to 8,454, with 5 new fatalities also reported today, marking a total of 104 deaths.
