His Majesty the Sultan issues Royal pardon to 797 prisoners in Oman

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has issued a Royal pardon to 797 prisoners in Oman.

The announcement, which was declared today [Thursday, May 21], comes on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, and was made out of consideration for the families of those detained.

Of the 797 prisoners released, 301 are expatriate residents.
