His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has called to adjourn the first annual session (2019-2020) of the Council of Oman starting from July 16.
In a statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), the higher directive of His Majesty for adjournment of the council session was conveyed by Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Naddabi, Secretary-General of the Majlis A’Shura.
The Secretary-General stated that the official declaration indicating the termination of the first annual session of the council is in accordance with the law, Article 58/26, which states that the regular term of the Council of Oman is no less than 8 months per year.
The Council of Oman is formed by the Majlis A’Shura and the State Council.
