Enforcing curfew and stricter fines to violators were the most notable suggestions given by individuals to combat COVID-19 according to a survey that was done in May 2020 by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
The survey targeted 1,501 people who were questioned about their behaviours and the impact of the pandemic.
Five per cent of them said that they, or at least one of their family members, was home quarantined.
Despite reports on shortages of products worldwide, 99 per cent of Omanis said that “they have not faced trouble regarding availability of commodities since the beginning of the pandemic,” according to NCSI.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country as of Saturday [July 18] stands at 64,193, according to the Omani Ministry of Health.
