COVID-19: More than half Omanis psychologically affected, donated to charities says NCSI

Nearly 58 per cent of Omanis have been psychologically affected due to physical distancing, according to a survey that was done by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

However, 97 per cent of the 1,501 people who were questioned in the survey, said that social distancing is a practical way to combat the spread of COVID-19.

The NCSI also said that 53 per cent of Omanis have donated to charitable organizations amid the pandemic, while 14 per cent have volunteered.

The survey said that 98 per cent of the interviewees said they are strictly abiding to the protective measures.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country as of Saturday [July 18] stands at 64,193.
