COVID-19: Two repatriation flights to India to depart from Muscat, Salalah today

The Indian Embassy in Oman has announced the intended departure of two more flights today [Thursday, May 28] repatriating Indian citizens under the second leg of India’s Vande Bharat mission.

In a statement issued online, the Embassy stated that check-in is currently underway at Muscat International Airport for Air India Express flight IX 1350 to Kozhikode, and at Salalah International Airport for Air India Express flight 1342 to Kannur.

On Sunday [May 24] the Indian Embassy in Oman announced 15 additional repatriation flights scheduled between May 28 – June 7, 2020.

As per the Embassy, the flight schedule is as follows:

May 28: Muscat — Kozhikode
May 28: Salalah — Kannur
May 29: Muscat — Kochi
May 30: Muscat — Jaipur
May 30: Muscat — Ahmedabad
May 30: Muscat — Trivandrum
May 31: Salalah — Kannur
June 1: Muscat — Kozhikode
June 1: Salalah — Kannur
June 2: Muscat — Srinagar
June 3: Muscat — Bhubaneshwar
June 3: Muscat — Kannur
June 4: Muscat — Kochi
June 4: Muscat — Trivandrum
June 7: Muscat — Chennai

The Indian Embassy has confirmed that passenger lists for all new and scheduled repatriation flights will be finalized by the Embassy, and those short-listed to fly will be contacted directly by their representatives.

Priority for travel will be given to those with medical emergencies, pregnant women and the elderly, workers in distress, and “other Indian nationals who are stranded in difficult situations.”
