In the statement, which was issued online today [Sunday, July 26], the GC outlined the following:

Water supply services from Diam will operate in response to emergency reports of burst or leaking water pipes, water shortages in tanks filled by the government’s water system, and other related water emergencies.

For those who have their tanks filled by water tankers rather than the government’s water supply system, water tanker trucks will be allowed to travel during the movement ban to fulfill emergency water supply services provided they can have proof of work to facilitate their movement.

Emergency teams for electricity services will also be allowed to operate 24-hours a day, with toll-free numbers for emergency cases listed in the Tweet below.

Patients with medical emergencies going to hospitals or health centres within their Wilayat will be excluded from the movement ban, along with medical personnel who are working night shifts.

The GC has also reminded the public to please make sure that they provide all basic needs within their home during the ban on movement period, including food, medications, and cooking gas, as shops will close prior to 7:00 p.m. to allow employees enough time to reach home.
