COVID-19: SalamAir to operate repatriation flight on Thursday from Qatar to Oman

Oman’s low-cost carrier SalamAir has announced that it will operate a special repatriation flight to return Omani nationals back to the Sultanate from the State of Qatar on Thursday, May 21.

In a statement issued online by the airline, Omani citizens wishing to avail the flight from Doha to Muscat on Thursday are requested to contact SalamAir’s call centre at 2427-2222.

In further news of friendly relations between the two countries, during a recent meeting held on Monday, May 18, Oman’s Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Youssef bin Alawi bin Abdullah conveyed messages of goodwill to the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

As Oman News Agency (ONA) reports, the message on behalf of His Majesty the Sultan, to His Highness the Emir, spoke of the “brotherly relations between the two countries, and ways of developing them and consulting on the most prominent regional issues of common concern.”
