COVID-19: Pakistan repatriates another 286 of its nationals from Oman

The Embassy of Pakistan in Oman has confirmed that 286 Pakistani citizens left Oman on Monday [June 1] on two repatriation flights departing from Muscat International Airport.

In a statement issued online, one Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight carried 142 citizens to Lahore, while a second PIA flight departed with 144 passengers, also bound for Lahore.

A delegation from the Embassy, led by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman, His Excellency KK Ahsan Wagan, was on-hand to assist citizens with departure proceedings at the airport. His Excellency expressed his thanks and deep appreciation to PIA and authorities in Oman for helping to facilitate the smooth repatriation of his country’s nationals.

As of Friday [May 29], Embassy officials have carried out coordinated repatriation efforts for over 800 Pakistani citizens from Oman over a one-week period since May 21.
