COVID-19: Oman registers 1,083 new cases Saturday, total now 54,697

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 1,083 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

In a statement issued online today [Saturday, July 11], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 54,697, while 1,030 new recoveries bring the total number of patients in the country who are now virus-free to 35,255

Of the new cases announced today, 786 are among Omani citizens and 297 are among non-Omani residents. 

The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 fatalities now stands at 248 with 4 new deaths announced today, while the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in Oman stands at 517, with 133 in ICU.

As of today, a total of 3,833 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the Sultanate in the last 24 hours.
