As Oman records 1,124 new COVID-19 cases today [Wednesday, July 1] 598 of them have been registered in Muscat Governorate.
With the total number of coronavirus cases in the country now standing at 41,194, the number of cases in the capital has now reached 27,220. However, of the total confirmed cases nationwide, more than half have now recovered — with total recoveries reaching 24,162 as of today.
In Muscat on Wednesday, the Wilayat of Seeb now has 9,689 total cases with 249 new cases registered, followed by the Wilayats of Bausher with 126 new cases (total 7,512), Muttrah with 99 new cases today (total 7,283), and Al Amerat with 75 new cases (total 1,622).
Authorities at the MoH have recorded 737 new recoveries in Oman today, along with 9 new fatalities which have brought the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the Sultanate up to 185 as of today.
