WHO marks 6 months since first reported case of COVID-19, “pandemic not even close to being over,” says DG

As the world marks six months since the World Health Organization (WHO) received the first reported case of coronavirus, WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus said that the pandemic “is not even close to being over,”.

More than 10 million people around the world have been infected with COVID-19 so far, and 500,000 confirmed deaths have been reported worldwide since the start of the pandemic.
