COVID-19: Oman records 919 new cases Saturday, total now 36,953

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 919 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

In a statement issued online today [Saturday, June 27], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 36,953.

Of the 919 new cases announced today, 517 are among Omani citizens and 402 are among non-Omani residents. The number of new COVID-19 recoveries announced today is 881, bringing the total number of patients in the Sultanate who are now coronavirus-free to 20,363.

The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 fatalities now stands at 159 with 6 new deaths announced Saturday, while the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in Oman has risen to 431, with 113 in ICU.

A total of 2,508 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the country in the last 24 hours.
