COVID-19: Oman records 5 new coronavirus fatalities on Friday

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has indicated that the number of COVID-19 deaths in the Sultanate has risen by 5 new fatalities.

Today [Friday, June 5], in its daily statement announcing the registration of new COVID-19 cases in Oman, the MoH also noted that the number of COVID-19 related deaths now stands at 72.

As of today, 770 new cases of the novel coronavirus have been registered by health authorities, bringing the overall total in the country to 15,086, with 3,451 recoveries also recorded.

The MoH has also confirmed that 227 patients with COVID-19 are currently admitted to hospital in Oman, with 60 of those patients in intensive care.
