No expat will ever be asked to pay a single riyal for COVID-19 treatment in Oman: Minister of Health

Speaking at the ninth Supreme Committee for COVID-19 press conference held today [Thursday, June 4], Oman’s Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al Saeedi, has said that the cost of testing and treatment remains free to all expats in the country.

In his statement, His Excellency said that: “Treatment and testing for COVID-19 for expats in Oman has and always will remain free of charge. No one has been asked, or will ever be asked, to pay a single riyal. All costs are paid through sponsors, the government, and insurance companies.”

Oman’s Supreme Committee has also announced today that the lockdown will be lifted in most areas of Muttrah as of Saturday, June 6.
