COVID-19: Oman records 1,739 new cases Monday, total now 68,400

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 1,739 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate. 

In a statement issued online today [Monday, July 20] the MoH has confirmed that the total number of cases in the country now stands at 68,400.

Of the 1,739 new cases announced today, 1,514 are among Omani nationals and 225 are among non-Omani residents.

The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 recoveries in the Sultanate has risen to 45,150, with 326 deaths recorded thus far.

As per the Ministry, a total of 574 COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized in Oman, with 170 of them in intensive care.
