COVID-19: Oman records 1,145 more cases on Friday

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 1,145 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

Today [Friday, July 24], in its daily statement announcing the registration of new COVID-19 cases in Oman, the MoH also noted that the number of COVID-19-related deaths now stands at 359, with four new fatalities recorded Friday.

As of today, the overall total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has now reached 73,791, with 1,658 new recoveries today bringing total recoveries to 53,007.

Of the 1,145 new cases announced today, 1,047 are among citizens and 98 among expat residents.

The MoH has also confirmed that 568 patients with COVID-19 are currently admitted to hospital in Oman, with 170 of those patients in intensive care.
