Oman’s Government Communications Centre (GC) has denied a rumour circulating online which alleges that over 300 cases of COVID-19 were spread at a wedding in Oman.
In a statement issued online, the GC has said: “There is no truth to what is circulating about more than 300 cases of COVID-19 spread as a result of contact at a wedding. We encourage everyone to obtain information from official sources and to avoid spreading false and misleading rumours and news.”
