COVID-19 Oman: Daily recoveries on Thursday outnumber new cases 3,247 to 1,099

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 1,099 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

In a statement issued online today [Thursday, July 23] the MoH has confirmed that the total number of cases in the country now stands at 72,646.

The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 recoveries in the Sultanate has risen to 51,349, with 3,427 new patients declared virus-free today. Six new fatalities have also been recorded Thursday, bringing the death toll in the country to 355 deaths recorded thus far.

As per the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al Saeedi, speaking at this morning’s Supreme Committee press conference, a total of 169 COVID-19 patients are currently in intensive care, and there have been a total of 287,588 coronavirus tests carried out nationwide to date.
