COVID-19: Oman announces 223 new cases and 4 deaths Sunday

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 223 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

In a statement issued online today [Sunday, August 9], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 81,580.

Of the 223 new cases announced today, 148 are among Omani citizens and 75 are among non-Omani residents. The number of new COVID-19 recoveries announced today is 1,210 bringing the total number of patients in the Sultanate who are now coronavirus-free to 74,691.

The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 fatalities now stands at 513 with 4 new deaths announced today.
