COVID-19: India to repatriate citizens from Muscat to Lucknow today

Air India Express will operate a repatriation flight today [Monday, June 15] from Muscat to Lucknow for stranded Indian nationals, the Indian Embassy in Oman has confirmed.

In a statement issued online, the Embassy said that check-in for Air India Express flight IX 1124 is currently underway at Muscat International Airport. Yesterday [Sunday, June 14], an additional Air India flight also departed from Muscat carrying 184 passengers to Kannur.

The flights fall under the Republic’s Vande Bharat mission to repatriate its nationals abroad, with 14 departures scheduled between June 9-23 as per the roster below:

The Indian Embassy also announced last week nine additional flights scheduled to depart from Oman between June 17-30, as follows:

June 28: Trivandrum
June 29: Kochi
June 30: Kannur
