In a statement issued online, the Embassy confirmed that Air India Express flights IX 1212 to Mumbai and IX 1554 to Trivandrum took off from Muscat International Airport this afternoon carrying Indian expatriates back home.

Three more repatriation flights also departed from Oman over the weekend — two bound for Kochi and one to Delhi.

On Thursday [June 25] the Embassy announced a roster of 16 new flights from the Sultanate, scheduled under Phase 4 of the mission, set to depart between July 1-13 as per the roster below:

The Embassy has advised those passengers wishing to travel on the newly-scheduled flights to fill out a new registration form on their website.

As before, the Indian Embassy has confirmed that passenger lists for all repatriation flights will be finalized by the Embassy, and those short-listed to fly will be contacted directly by their representatives.

Priority for travel will be given to those with medical emergencies, pregnant women and the elderly, workers in distress, and “other Indian nationals who are stranded in difficult situations.”

The Embassy has reiterated: “The cost of tickets will have to be borne by the passengers themselves and air tickets will be issued by the airline only to short-listed persons. All passengers are required to confirm acceptance of all conditions of travel, including quarantine requirements in India, as well as health requirements in order to board the flight.”
