COVID-19: Government clarifies timings for lockdown procedures in Oman

Oman’s Supreme Committee for COVID-19 has issued a statement in clarification of certain queries related to the implementation of the nationwide lockdown which is set to commence on Saturday [July 25].

In the statement, which was issued online today [Wednesday, July 22], the Committee has clarified the following:

The full closure of borders between governorates will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020 and will remain in effect until Saturday, August 8.

The closure of all shops and public areas will also begin at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020 and will last until 6:00 a.m. daily. This will remain in effect until Saturday, August 8.
