COVID-19: Cases in Muscat reach 15,666 as national total crosses 21,000

With 1,117 new cases of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus registered in Oman today [Friday, June 12], Oman’s national case total has risen to 21,071. Of these, Muscat Governorate recorded 729 new cases today, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in the capital to 15,666.

Among the Wilayats, Seeb saw the highest number of new cases at 301, followed by the Wilayat of Bausher with an increase of 216 new cases today, followed by the Wilayat of Muttrah with 122 new cases.

Authorities at the Ministry of Health (MoH) have confirmed that COVID-19 recoveries in the Sultanate have risen to 7,489, with 7 new fatalities also reported today, marking a total of 96 deaths.
