COVID-19: As cases in Oman cross 16,000, Muscat registers 757 on Saturday

Oman has registered 930 new cases of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus today [Saturday, June 6], bringing the total number in the country to 16,016. Of the new cases announced today, Muscat Governorate saw an increase of 757, with the total in the capital now reaching 12,195.

Among the Wilayats with the highest numbers of cases, Bausher saw an increase of 334 new cases, followed by the Wilayat of Seeb with 245 new cases, and the Wilayat of Muttrah with 124 new cases.

Authorities at the Ministry of Health (MoH) have confirmed that COVID-19 recoveries in the nation still remain at 3,541, with 72 deaths recorded thus far.
