COVID-19: As cases in Muscat approach 15,000, Bausher sees highest jump Thursday

With 1,067 new cases of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus registered in Oman today [Thursday, June 11], the total number of cases in the country has risen to 19,954. Of these, Muscat Governorate recorded 799 new cases today, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in the capital to 14,937.

Among the Wilayats, Bausher saw the highest number of new cases at 287, followed by the Wilayat of Seeb with an increase of 272 new cases today, followed by the Wilayat of Muttrah with 125 new cases.

Authorities at the Ministry of Health (MoH) have confirmed that COVID-19 recoveries in the Sultanate have risen to 6,623, with 5 new fatalities also reported today, marking a total of 89 deaths.
