COVID-19: 368 Indian nationals depart Oman on Monday, repatriation flights to continue today

As India continues its global Vande Bharat mission to bring home its nationals abroad, 368 citizens were repatriated from Oman on Monday [June 1], the Indian Embassy in Muscat has confirmed, with further departures scheduled for today [Tuesday, June 2].

In statements issued online, the Embassy confirmed that Air India Express flights carrying 186 passengers from Muscat International Airport to Kozhikode, and 182 passengers from Salalah International Airport to Kannur departed safely on Monday.

The Embassy has also stated that check-in has begun for an Oman Air flight scheduled to depart this afternoon, carrying Indian citizens bound for Srinagar.

The flights are part of a roster of 15 scheduled between May 28-June 7, 2020 organized by the Indian government with the support of local authorities in Oman.

As per the Embassy, the full flight schedule is as follows:

May 28: Muscat — Kozhikode
May 28: Salalah — Kannur
May 29: Muscat — Kochi
May 30: Muscat — Jaipur
May 30: Muscat — Ahmedabad
May 30: Muscat — Trivandrum
May 31: Salalah — Kannur
June 1: Muscat — Kozhikode
June 1: Salalah — Kannur
June 2: Muscat — Srinagar
June 3: Muscat — Bhubaneshwar
June 3: Muscat — Kannur
June 4: Muscat — Kochi
June 4: Muscat — Trivandrum
June 7: Muscat — Chennai
