COVID-19 Oman: Repatriation flight for Indian nationals to operate out of Salalah today

A flight carrying Indian citizens wishing to be repatriated to their home country will depart Oman from Salalah International Airport bound for the city of Kannur in the south Indian state of Kerala today [Sunday, May 31].

In a statement issued online by the Indian Embassy in Oman, check-in for the Air India Express flight is currently underway in Salalah. The flight marks one of 15 scheduled between May 28-June 7, 2020 organized by the Indian government’s global Vande Bharat mission to return its citizens abroad.

Over the weekend, four flights bound for Kochi, Trivandrum, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad took off from Muscat International Airport as part of the efforts.

As per the Embassy, the full flight schedule is as follows:

May 28: Muscat — Kozhikode
May 28: Salalah — Kannur
May 29: Muscat — Kochi
May 30: Muscat — Jaipur
May 30: Muscat — Ahmedabad
May 30: Muscat — Trivandrum
May 31: Salalah — Kannur
June 1: Muscat — Kozhikode
June 1: Salalah — Kannur
June 2: Muscat — Srinagar
June 3: Muscat — Bhubaneshwar
June 3: Muscat — Kannur
June 4: Muscat — Kochi
June 4: Muscat — Trivandrum
June 7: Muscat — Chennai
