The final three flights from Oman to India will depart Muscat International Airport today [Saturday, May 23], as Phase 2 of the Republic’s global Vande Bharat mission to repatriate its nationals wraps up.
In a statement issued online, the Indian Embassy in Oman confirmed that check-in was underway for passengers on Air India flights to Kochi, Trivandrum, and Delhi/Gaya, with Embassy staff and social workers on-hand to assist citizens — including Indian Ambassador to Oman, His Excellency Munu Mahawar.
As per the Embassy, the following repatriation flights were carried out between May 17-23, 2020:
May 17: Muscat – Trivandrum
May 18: Muscat – Hyderabad
May 20: Muscat – Kannur
May 20: Muscat – Bangalore
May 20: Salalah – Calicut
May 21: Muscat – Calicut
May 21: Muscat – Delhi
May 22: Muscat – Kannur
May 23: Muscat – Kochi
May 23: Muscat – Gaya
May 23: Muscat – Trivandrum
