Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 1,132 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.
In a statement issued online today [Friday, June 26], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 36,034.
Of the 1,132 new cases announced today, 639 are among Omani citizens and 493 are among non-Omani residents. The number of new COVID-19 recoveries announced today is 962, bringing the total number of patients in the Sultanate who are now coronavirus-free to 19,482.
The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 fatalities now stands at 153, while the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in Oman has risen to 426, with 105 in ICU.
A total of 4,013 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the country in the last 24 hours.
