Oman’s Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources (MRMWR) has published an updated list of commercial activities that are allowed to operate amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in adherence to health and safety regulations imposed by the Supreme Committee for COVID-19 .
In a statement issued online this evening [Monday, May 18], the MRMWR confirmed that the following commercial activities are permitted under the current circumstances and with the Ministry’s supervision:
-Grocery shops
– Food storages
– Restaurants, coffee shops, and food trucks (all for delivery)
– Medical clinics and pharmacies
– Veterinary clinics
– Optical shops
– Petrol pump fuel stations
– Shops that sell gas
– Bakeries and places that sell bread
– Water factories and shops that sell water
– Halwa factories and shops that sell halwa
– Any food industry shops
– Animal feed and fodder shops
– Shops that sell seed and agricultural pesticides
– Butcher shops that sell meat and chicken
– Shops that sell fish
– Shops that sell ice cream, corn, sweets and nuts
– Shops that sell fruits and vegetables (all for delivery)
– Shops that sell juice (all for delivery)
– Shops that sell mashakeek barbecue (for delivery)
– Mills that produce flour used in bread-making
– Shops that sell honey and dates
– Animal and poultry farms
– Shipping offices, customs clearances, and insurance offices
– Shops selling sanitary and electrical materials
– Non-food stores (for storage)
– Places that sell fishing equipment (for pickup/delivery only)
– Vehicle repair & fishing boat repair shops (subject to a limited number of customers)
– Garages that sell car spare parts (subject to a limited number of customers)
– Car body shops that offer vehicle electricians, oil changes, brake repair, and fix tires (subject to a limited number of customers)
– Shops that sell electric equipment such as TV receivers (for delivery only)
– Shops that sell, fix and maintain laptop computers (for delivery only)
– Print shops and shops that sell stationary
– Libraries (for delivery only)
– Sanad offices (to operate remotely)
– Car and car equipment rental shops (for pickup/delivery only)
– Money exchange shops (subject to a limited number of customers)
– Steam-operated laundries and automatic machine laundries (subject to a limited number of customers)
– Shops that sell bee-keeping supplies (for receiving & delivery only)
– Shops that sell asphalt, cement, and construction materials (for pickup/delivery only)
– Quarries and crushers (for receiving & delivery only)
– Block and cement factories and shops that sell cement (for receiving & delivery only)
– Ready-mix concrete plants (for receiving & delivery only)
– Shops selling ceramics, tiles, marble, and granite (subject to a limited number of customers)
– Car-washing shops (subject to a limited number of customers)
– Car care shops or centres (subject to a limited number of customers)
– New car showrooms
– Shops that sell or repair water filters (for pickup/delivery only)
– Shops that sell or maintain water pumps (for pickup/delivery only)
– Shops that sell modern irrigation systems (subject to a limited number of customers)
– Shops selling birds, fish, pets, and pet-food products (subject to a limited number of customers)
– Nurseries and shops that sell agricultural inputs (subject to a limited number of customers)
– Carpentry workshops (for receiving & delivery only)
– Blacksmith workshops (for receiving & delivery only)
– Turning workshops (for receiving & delivery only)
– Aluminum workshops (for receiving & delivery only)
– Metal welding workshops (for receiving & delivery only)
– Consulting offices, lawyers offices, and auditing offices (working remotely only)
– Shops that sell and repair mobile phones (for pickup/delivery only)
– Shops that sell and repair watches
– Yacht marinas
– Driving schools
