#BREAKING: 866 new cases of COVID-19 registered in Oman, total now 16,882

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 866 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

In a statement issued online today [Sunday, June 7], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of cases in the country now stands at 16,882.

Of the 866 new cases announced today, 319 are among Omani nationals and 547 are among non-Omani residents. The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 recoveries in Oman still stands at 3,451, with 75 deaths recorded thus far.

Currently there are a total of 290 COVID-19 patients currently in hospital in Oman, with 75 of those patients in intensive care. The Ministry has also confirmed that 2,907 coronavirus tests have been carried out in the last 24 hours.
