#BREAKING: 689 new cases of COVID-19 registered in Oman, total now 18,887

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 689 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

In a statement issued online today [Wednesday, June 10], the MoH confirmed that the total number of cases in the country now stands at 18,887.

Of the 689 new cases announced today, 334 are among Omani nationals and 355 are among non-Omani residents. The MoH has also confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 4,329, with 84 deaths recorded thus far.

As per the Ministry there are currently 293 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in the country, with 85 of those patients in intensive care. As of today, 2,658 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in Oman over the last 24 hours.
