#BREAKING: 604 new cases of COVID-19 registered in Oman, total now 17,486

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 604 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

In a statement issued online today [Monday, June 8], the MoH confirmed that the total number of cases in the country now stands at 17,486.

Of the 604 new cases announced today, 344 are among Omani citizens and 260 are among non-Omani residents. The MoH Has also confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the Sultanate has risen to 3,793, with 81 deaths recorded thus far.

Currently, as per the MoH, there are a total of 283 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in the country, with 75 of them in intensive care. Approximately 2,697 coronavirus tests have been conducted in Oman over the last 24 hours.
