#BREAKING: 1,117 new cases of COVID-19 registered in Oman, total now 21,071

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 1,117 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

In a statement issued online today [Friday, June 12], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of cases in the country now stands at 21,071.

Of the 1,117 new cases announced today, 470 are among Omani citizens and 647 are among non-Omani residents. The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 recoveries in the Sultanate has risen to 7,489, with 96 fatalities recorded thus far.

As per the MoH, there are currently 309 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Oman, 92 of whom are in intensive care. Health officials have also carried out 3,502 COVID-19 tests in the last 24 hours.
