905 new cases of COVID-19 registered in Oman, total now 29,471

Oman’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the registration of 905 new cases of COVID-19 novel coronavirus in the Sultanate.

In a statement issued online today [Sunday, June 21], the MoH has confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 29,471.

Of the 905 new cases announced today, 402 are among Omani citizens and 503 are among non-Omani residents. The number of new COVID-19 recoveries announced today is 772, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Sultanate to 15,552.

The MoH has also confirmed that the number of COVID-19 fatalities now stands at 131, while the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in Oman has risen to 396, with 101 in ICU.

A total of 2,804 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the country in the lsat 24 hours.
