#BREAKING: Omani citizens allowed to enter UAE from Monday, PCR test mandatory

The Embassy of Oman in Abu Dhabi has announced that Omani citizens wishing to enter the UAE will be allowed to do so starting from tomorrow [Monday, June 22], provided they show proof of a medical certificate (PCR) stating that they are free from coronavirus.

In a statement issued online today [Sunday, June 21], the Embassy noted the following:

“The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Abu Dhabi notes that Omani citizens who have permission to enter the United Arab Emirates must provide a medical certificate (PCR) confirming they are free from coronavirus from a hospital or medical centre accredited by Oman’s Ministry of Health.”

The statement further added that: “The Embassy also notes that a medical certificate is mandatory to enter the country as of June 22, 2020, in the context of the measures taken by the United Arab Emirates to limit the spread of COVID-19.”
