In a statement issued online, the MoM said that the registrations with the Ministry come within the initiative “to facilitate temporary work procedures and partial work, and to enhance the flexibility of workforce movement — one of the labour market and employment initiatives where companies can register part-time labour contracts electronically.”

The completion of the online registration system is part of a larger national plan to streamline opportunities for the Sultanate’s part-time job-seekers.

As per the MoM, job-seekers, employees, retirees, housewives, college and university students, and school students over the age of 15 can benefit from the part-time work contracts. While company owners, owners of small to medium enterprises (SMEs), and employers operating seasonal projects can also register temporary work contracts via the platform as well.
